octopus’s garden :D

The corals are growing slowly. I’m running out of crochet patterns of corals to make from the book, so I’m trying to make up new ones.

You can click on the photos to see a larger image of it, with all its details! :D

Octopus and young kraken joined in the fun :D

And this is where I must share with you the lyrics of Octopus’s Garden by Ringo Starr.

I’d like to be under the sea
In an octopus’ garden in the shade
He’d let us in, knows where we’ve been
In his octopus’ garden in the shade

I’d ask my friends to come and see
An octopus’ garden with me
I’d like to be under the sea
In an octopus’ garden in the shade.

We would be warm below the storm
In our little hideaway beneath the waves
Resting our head on the sea bed
In an octopus’ garden near a cave

We would sing and dance around
Because we know we can’t be found
I’d like to be under the sea
In an octopus’ garden in the shade

We would shout and swim about
The coral that lies beneath the waves
(Lies beneath the ocean waves)
Oh what joy for every girl and boy
Knowing they’re happy and they’re safe
(Happy and they’re safe)

We would be so happy you and me
No one there to tell us what to do
I’d like to be under the sea
In an octopus’ garden with you.

(When I found out that Ringo was the conductor in Shining Time Station I was quite shocked. I didn’t realize that until I was an adult. My sister and I used to watch that show a lot when we first moved to Canada.)

Have a happy Thursday! :D

  1. oh yes, i actually noticed ringo starr’s name when i was still watching shining time station. it stuck with me because i thought it was an interesting name. i didn’t know he was a beatle until some years later.
